Directors Responsibilities and Approval Report (Desktop)

What it is: A mandatory report in the Annual Financial Statements in which the directors formally acknowledge their responsibility for preparing the financial statements and confirm they approve them for issue.

What it's for

Legislation and reporting frameworks typically require directors to formally state that they take responsibility for the financial statements and that the statements fairly present the company's financial position. This report provides that declaration, with signature lines for each director. Draftworx provides two layout options and lets you show or hide signatories to match the actual directors of the entity.

How to do it

Customising the report layout and signatories (DX114)

Switching layouts

  • The report has two layout options (Option 1 and Option 2). To switch: collapse the grouping for Option 1 and expand the grouping for Option 2 (or vice versa).

Adding more signatories

  • To show additional signature lines, expand the expand for Additional Signatures grouping on the report.

Removing a signatory

  1. Select the rows containing the signatory's details.
  2. Go to Format and change the text colour to white — this hides the text without deleting it.
  3. Select the signature line cell and apply No Border under Cell Border to remove the line.
  4. Hide the now-empty rows, or close the grouping, to remove the blank space from the printed page.

Tip: For placing physical or digital signatures on this report, see Adding a Signature on the AFS (Desktop) and Digisign (Desktop).
